Today was the Tamale festival at Caesar Chavez Park. It was quite the day. People arrived at 6:30 AM to start setting up and making the tamale. For those from the East Coast who may not know because I sure didn't, a tamale is usually corn husks wrapped around corn meal (masa) with meat and stuff inside. Today, Clean and Sober was in charge of putting together the worlds largest tamale which ended up being 44 feet long! It is now in the Guiness Book of World Records. It was a great day, I had a lot of fun hanging out and getting to know all the residents a little more and I think that everyone had fun working together to accomplish such a great feat.
